A chiropractic clinic group in Malaysia competing for high-intent medical searches — slipped disc treatment, neck pain treatment, back pain — where the searcher is in discomfort, comparing providers, and close to booking. Both organic and paid search were in scope, run as one programme.
What we did
- Competitor analysis before any optimisation, to establish what winning looked like
- Medical-intent keyword research in the Malaysian market, treatment by treatment
- Meta information and content enhancement across service pages
- Structured data implementation, including article, review and FAQ schema
- Backlink profile assessment, negative-link disavow, and ongoing acquisition
- A parallel Google Ads programme against the same intent set
- Fortnightly progress reporting with position tracking
What happened
Six months of sustained work, reported fortnightly, with keyword positions tracked against a defined target set and structured data lifting the clinic’s presence in rich results. Organic and paid ran against the same intent map, so the paid data informed which organic terms were worth pursuing and the organic gains reduced dependence on paid over time.
The honest read
The most instructive part of this engagement is the target we set: 1–3% organic traffic growth per month, and 5% over six months. Modest — and deliberately so, because for a single-location clinical practice in a competitive medical category, that is what honest compounding looks like. Anyone promising a healthcare practice triple-digit growth is describing a different site or a different truth. We include this case precisely because it shows the discipline of realistic forecasting, which is the harder professional habit.
