A B2B services firm starting from a genuinely small base: 35 organic visitors and 46 sessions in the first month of measurement, with a backlink profile of 170 and no meaningful indexed keyword coverage.
What we did
The programme opened with a baseline reset: eight metrics tracked monthly with Google algorithm changes annotated against them, so every later claim had a dated reference point. From that standing start the work expanded indexed-keyword coverage, rewrote content against commercial-intent queries, and sustained backlink acquisition under anchor-relevance monitoring.
Monthly reporting counted how many of six tracked areas improved, including the months where the answer was unflattering.
What happened
Month four is the month worth showing: organic traffic +94%, sessions +116%, engagement +117%, average session duration +11%, backlinks +239%, indexed keywords +40%, all six tracked areas improving simultaneously. Across the engagement, indexed keywords went from zero to 19 and backlinks from 170 to 4,859.
| Metric | Recorded |
|---|---|
| Indexed keywords | 0 to 19 |
| Backlinks | 170 to 4,859 |
| Starting base | 35 organic visitors, 46 sessions |
The honest read
These are large percentages on small absolute numbers, 17 visitors to 33 is a 94% gain and also 16 people. We publish it because the pattern matters more than the scale: every lever moving together in one month indicates a programme working as a system rather than one tactic flattering a report. The engagement also went backwards twice, in months two and eight, under the November core update. Both are in the same chart as the wins.
