Questions
Frequently asked questions.
What we are usually asked before a first call, answered here rather than saved for the pitch.
Working together
How an engagement runs
Scope, staffing and what the first weeks look like.
Do I have to buy the full stack?
No. Take one capability or all of them, and change the mix as the quarter demands. Some clients start with search alone and add paid media once the demand is there; others hand over everything from the first month. What we will not do is quote a retainer that only grows, because that arrangement serves the agency rather than the client.
Who actually works on the account?
The specialist who scopes your account is the one who runs it. There is no handover to a junior team after the pitch, which is the single most common complaint we hear about previous agencies. You can see who that is on the team page: six people, each named, with the discipline they own.
How quickly will I see results?
It depends on the channel and on where you are starting. Paid media can move within days because you are buying placement. Search takes longer: the case studies on this site record organic gains over one to twelve months, and the starting position is stated on each one so the numbers can be read in context. Anyone promising a fixed timeline before seeing your site is guessing.
Do you work with agencies as well as brands?
Yes. We white-label for creative and PR agencies that need performance or search capability without hiring for it. The arrangement is the same as any other: senior specialists on the work, and reporting you can put your own name on.
Markets
Where we work, and why it matters
Southeast Asia is several markets, and a plan that treats it as one spends the same money for a fraction of the result.
Which markets do you cover?
Singapore and Malaysia are where most of our work sits, with campaigns run across the wider region including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Hong Kong. The company is registered in Singapore and the team works across the region rather than reporting on it from elsewhere.
Why not just reuse the campaign that worked in another market?
Because buyers behave differently. In Singapore they research in English and convert on the site. In Malaysia they often start on Facebook, ask three questions on WhatsApp and never touch a form. In some categories the marketplace carries the purchase and the brand site never sees it. A plan that ignores those differences is not cheaper, it is simply less effective for the same spend.
Do you handle marketplaces as well as owned channels?
Yes, where the category calls for it. One of the case studies on this site rerouted sales through Shopee and Lazada after customer-journey analysis showed the brand’s own site was never going to be the purchase destination, and turned the site into a content and engagement hub instead.
Measurement
How we report, and what the numbers mean
The limits of a figure matter as much as the figure, so we name them rather than leave them out.
What do you report on?
Funded accounts, qualified leads and pipeline value, rather than impressions and reach. Those are the numbers a marketing lead is judged on internally, so they are the ones we hold ourselves to. Channel metrics still appear, but underneath the commercial ones rather than in place of them.
Is attribution reliable?
Attribution is a model, and we label it as one. Platform-reported conversions have been partly estimated since the iOS privacy changes, so a platform-reported ROAS is presented as exactly that rather than as a measurement. Where a number is modelled we say so on the same line as the number.
Can I see results from work you have done?
Yes. Thirteen engagements are written up on the case studies page, each with the figures, the period they cover and the starting position. Clients are described by category rather than named, because most of this work is covered by confidentiality, and the numbers are unchanged.
What is GEO, AIO and AEO, and do I need it?
They are names for the same shift: buyers increasingly ask an AI engine before they ask a search engine, and most brands never appear in the answer. Generative engine optimisation, AI optimisation and answer engine optimisation all describe work aimed at that surface. Whether you need it depends on whether your buyers research that way, which is answerable from your own data rather than from a trend piece.
